Kate Cigrand, JD

Kate is UAS’s Director of Compliance & Research. In this role, she monitors and provides analysis on compliance issues impacting multiemployer health and pension plans to both clients and internal staff.

In addition, Kate and her team support a variety of health and pension compliance projects, including drafting of plan restatements, SPDs, and plan amendments. She has also presented at IFEBP conferences on issues impacting multiemployer health and pension plans.

Before joining UAS, Kate held various private and public sector positions with a focus on ERISA compliance. She was an investigator with the Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration and was also in private practice representing multiemployer defined benefit, defined contribution, and health and welfare plans.
