Micah Plank, ASA, EA, MAAA

Micah is a Consulting Actuary with 7 years of experience in the multiemployer pension field with UAS. He is currently a consultant on 5 pension funds and 4 health and welfare funds and provides actuarial services to 19 pension funds. His main responsibilities include reviewing actuarial valuations, employer withdrawal liability reports, Schedule MB’s, PPA certifications, benefit study runs and funding solutions, and reserve calculations for IBNR and extended eligibility. He has also worked as the signer on multiple ASC 965 Valuations and has provided actuarial support to multiple welfare funds to ensure accurate actuarial measurements.

He has also been involved in some comprehensive projects, including two Multiemployer Pension Reform Act of 2014 (“MPRA”) benefit suspension applications in which he was a key member of the processing team.  Micah is a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and an Enrolled Actuary (EA). He has been in the actuarial field since joining UAS and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science.
